Cyclone Biparjoy weakens into depression, rain expected in parts of Sindh today

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Cyclone Biparjoy, which struck India's Gujarat coast close to the Pakistani border on Thursday, had weakened into a depression by Saturday morning. As a result, fishermen in Balochistan and Sindh can now venture into the sea.

With winds of up to 125 kph, Biparjoy—which means "calamity" in Bengali—had ploughed into the state of Gujarat, tearing off homes' roofs and uprooting trees and power lines. Before the storm hit land, at least six deaths in India were attributed to cyclone-related incidents.

There were no fatalities in Pakistan, which was largely spared from the storm's ravages. In certain coastal regions, though, water levels did rise.

Across both nations, more thanPreviously expected to hit land as a powerful cyclone, Cyclone Biparjoy has already weakened into a depression over the Arabian Sea. The role of the brain in mental health

The role of the brain in mental health   The brain plays a critical role in our mental health, as it is responsible for regulating our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It is a complex organ made up of billions of neurons that communicate with each other through electrical and chemical signals. Any dysfunction in the brain can lead to mental health problems. Mental health disorders can affect the brain in various ways, such as altering the structure and function of specific regions of the brain. For instance, individuals with depression may have reduced activity in the prefrontal cortex, a brain region responsible for decision-making and emotional regulation. Anxiety disorders have been linked to over activity in the amygdale, a region involved in processing fear and other emotions.
